Lorenzo Heyer is the man who has been keeping an eye on things from the very beginning. The trained automotive mechatronics technician has been working at AMT for many years and has in-depth knowledge of electronics.
Together with project manager Walter Geier, he visited the manufacturer BBS Winding in Italy several times and received intensive training. With his in-depth specialist knowledge and impressive calm, he ensures that the complex production system functions perfectly.
When you talk to Lorenzo Heyder about the new winding line, you can clearly sense his enthusiasm: "This is the challenge I was looking for. I'm looking forward to learning something new. It took some time getting used to at first, as the entire operation is in English and I had to learn some new English technical terms. But it's going well now."
Numerous work steps are necessary to turn individual parts into an armature that will function for many years without any problems. During the individual production steps and on the finished armature, optical, tactile and laser measurements are used to check that the quality is right. At least as important is the electrical test, which puts the finished armature through its paces.
Each individual armature is engraved by laser so that the measurement results from the database can be retrieved and traced even decades later.
