20 Years of Commitment, Leadership and Team Spirit

Martin Tuppy celebrates his 20-year anniversary at AMT Schmid. His journey from assembly employee to key leadership figure reflects the strength of expertise, trust and continuous improvement.

Martin Tuppy joined AMT Schmid in 2006 as an employee in assembly. From the very beginning, he demonstrated talent, reliability and a strong sense of responsibility. Over the years, he developed into an essential leadership figure within our assembly operations – a role in which he continues to make a lasting impact today.

Together with more than 40 employees, Martin manages the daily challenges of assembly, including areas operating in a three-shift system. In recent years, he and his team have driven significant progress: assembly processes have been improved, U-shaped line layouts introduced, One Piece Flow implemented, end-of-line testing integrated and KPI tracking established as a standard across many lines. For Martin, innovation in assembly is never only about efficiency. It is also about people. Clear work descriptions, simple and reliable processes, ergonomic workplaces and continuous dialogue with employees are central to his approach. This is supported by a new shopfloor management concept and by the growing responsibility of newly established group leaders. “I am glad that I can rely on every single person,” Martin says about his team.

His 20-year anniversary was celebrated together with important companions from his two decades at AMT Schmid. A particularly moving moment was a poem written and presented by his colleague Priska Waldenspuhl – a heartfelt sign of appreciation for Martin as a long-standing employee, leader and colleague.

The management and HR teams sincerely thank Martin Tuppy for his dedication, loyalty and valuable contribution. His story represents what makes AMT Schmid strong: people who take responsibility, improve together and shape the future with commitment.
