Wheel Hub Drive 12" / 35

Our customer's goal was to design a top-of-the-line power wheelchair, foldable and able to be fully dismantled. Working together with the customer, we designed and constructed a totally unique drive system, completely integrated in the wheelchair itself. This so-called Power Package consisted of two wheel hub drives joined together by an aluminum cast part - the rechargeable battery mount. This exclusive custom drive and integrated control mechanism was entirely developed and manufactured by AMT and is in essence the "heart" of the wheelchair. The foldable frame is simply docked to the Power Package and the wheelchair is ready to roll.
